Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis efektivitas pendekatan Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan teknik dasar futsal peserta didik. TGfU menempatkan permainan sebagai konteks utama pembelajaran sehingga peserta didik mengembangkan pemahaman taktis dan kemampuan mengambil keputusan sebelum mempelajari teknik secara spesifik. Penelitian menggunakan desain quasi-experiment dengan pretest–posttest control group design yang melibatkan 60 peserta didik kelas X SMAN 10 Kota Makassar. Kelompok eksperimen menerima pembelajaran futsal berbasis TGfU, sedangkan kelompok kontrol mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional berbasis drill. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes teknik dasar yang mencakup passing, dribbling, control, dan shooting. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kedua kelompok, tetapi peningkatan pada kelompok eksperimen lebih tinggi. Analisis paired sample t-test menunjukkan bahwa TGfU berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan skor teknik dasar (p < 0.05). Uji independent sample t-test juga mengkonfirmasi perbedaan signifikan pada skor posttest, yang menegaskan efektivitas TGfU dibandingkan pendekatan konvensional. Peningkatan terbesar terlihat pada keterampilan passing dan dribbling sebagai komponen yang erat dengan proses pengambilan keputusan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa TGfU efektif meningkatkan keterampilan teknik dasar futsal melalui pembelajaran yang kontekstual dan aplikatif, sehingga layak direkomendasikan sebagai pendekatan alternatif dalam pendidikan jasmani.
