Perbandingan Efektivitas Metode-Metode Recovery terhadap Pemulihan Pelari Half Marathon pada Mahasiswa Olahraga

Abstrak

Meningkatnya partisipasi mahasiswa olahraga dalam event lari jarak jauh seperti half marathon tidak diimbangi dengan pemahaman memadai tentang strategi pemulihan pascalari. Keluhan seperti delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS), kram otot, dan penurunan performa sering dialami pelari pemula yang mengikuti event beruntun. Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan efektivitas beberapa metode recovery terhadap pemulihan kecepatan lari half marathon pada mahasiswa olahraga. Metode penelitian menggunakan desain eksperimen murni dengan pretest–posttest control group design yang melibatkan 40 mahasiswa. Subjek dibagi secara acak menjadi empat kelompok: active recovery, ice bath, foam rolling dan static stretching, serta kombinasi recovery. Pengukuran meliputi waktu tempuh lari, heart rate recovery, skor DOMS, dan rating of perceived exertion pada baseline dan 48 jam pascaintervensi. Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA satu arah dan uji lanjut Tukey HSD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan bermakna antar metode recovery terhadap pemulihan performa lari, dengan kelompok kombinasi recovery menunjukkan pemulihan terbaik secara keseluruhan. Ice bath paling efektif menurunkan DOMS, sementara active recovery mempercepat pemulihan denyut nadi. Temuan ini memberikan bukti ilmiah bagi pelari pemula–menengah di lingkungan kampus untuk merancang strategi recovery yang terarah setelah mengikuti event lari jarak jauh.
