Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh latihan continuous running terhadap daya tahan kardiovaskuler siswa yang tergabung dalam tim ekstrakurikuler badminton di SMP Negeri 48 Pekanbaru. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest, melibatkan 10 siswa yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Program latihan dilaksanakan selama 6 minggu dengan frekuensi 3 kali seminggu, di mana setiap sesi berlangsung selama 30 menit. Daya tahan kardiovaskuler diukur menggunakan tes lari multistage (bleep test) sebelum dan setelah program latihan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada rata-rata skor bleep test, dari 25,52 (SD = 3,39) pada pretest menjadi 37,25 (SD = 7,04) pada posttest, dengan nilai t-hitung sebesar 6,647 (p < 0,05). Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa latihan continuous running efektif dalam meningkatkan daya tahan kardiovaskuler siswa. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar pelatih dan pendidik mengintegrasikan latihan ini dalam program latihan fisik untuk meningkatkan kebugaran dan performa atlet.
